New Schedule on the Way for Rockville Mayor and Council Meetings, Starting Oct. 7
The Rockville Mayor and Council will implement a new meeting schedule starting October 7, with meetings now commencing at 6:30 p. m. This change aims to improve accessibility for residents wishing to attend. Proclamations, which are formal statements recognizing significant events or individuals, will be presented from 5:30 to 6:30 p. m.
before the first meeting of each month. Furthermore, the Mayor and Council will hold a drop-in session for community members to interact with the mayor and a council member from 5:15 to 6:15 p. m. prior to the second meeting of each month. This initiative is designed to foster greater public participation and transparency.
Residents can find more details about the meetings, agendas, and how to sign up for drop-ins on the city’s official website. The meetings will also be broadcast on Rockville 11, livestreamed online, and made available for viewing afterward.
