Children’s literacy nonprofit seeks local volunteers

SMART Reading, a nonprofit focused on children's literacy in Central Oregon, seeks local volunteers to support its mission of enhancing reading comprehension and vocabulary development among students. The program aims to reach over 1,000 children and distribute over 15,000 books in its 33rd year but requires additional volunteers to fulfill these goals. Both readers and site coordinators are needed to keep the initiative thriving.
