Redmond Municipal Airport Adjusts Main Lot Parking Fees: First 30 Minutes Now Free
Redmond Municipal Airport (RDM) has implemented a new parking policy that will allow the first 30 minutes of parking in the main lot to be free, effective July 1, 2024. This initiative is aimed at reducing curbside congestion and enhancing the experience for those picking up or dropping off passengers. Airport Director Zachary Bass highlighted that this change will enable customers to greet friends and family and assist travelers needing help. The updated fee structure includes a $1 charge for parking from 31 to 60 minutes, and a maximum daily parking rate of $24. The airport terminal is open 24 hours a day and offers various amenities, such as a children's play area, a Nursing Room, and dining options.
This adjustment reflects the airport's commitment to improving customer service and accommodating the needs of travelers and their families. Additionally, comprehensive information regarding TSA regulations and flight details can be accessed through the airport's official website. The introduction of free short-term parking is expected to significantly alleviate congestion at the airport's curbside area.
