Reconstructed SW Reservoir Drive Now Open to Thru Traffic

Redmond, ORLocal News

On September 13, 2024, the City of Redmond reopened SW Reservoir Drive after completing significant reconstruction aimed at improving safety and mobility in the area. The road had been closed since late January 2024 as crews worked on the first phase of this Capital Improvement Program project. Key upgrades included the installation of new pavement, curbs, sidewalks, bike lanes, and essential utility lines such as water and sewer. While the road is now accessible to through traffic, residents are advised to exercise caution due to ongoing work on the shoulders, which may result in intermittent closures. Looking ahead, the city plans to commence Phase 2 of the project in spring 2025, which will involve a full closure of SW Reservoir Drive between SW 39th and SW 43rd Streets.

Detailed information about the upcoming phase and necessary detours will be available on the project website. For any questions, residents can reach out to Principal Engineer Jake Sherman at 541-504-2019. This project is part of the city’s ongoing efforts to enhance infrastructure and safety for all road users.
