Ajit Pawar Orders 24/7 Metro Work And Immediate Road Repairs To Ease Traffic In Pune - PUNE PULSE
In a bid to alleviate traffic congestion in Pune, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has mandated that work on Metro Line 3, linking Shivajinagar and Aundh, continue around the clock. The directive includes allowing girder installation during public and government holidays to expedite the construction process. During a recent meeting with top officials, Pawar raised concerns about the state of roads affected by ongoing work and insisted that immediate repairs be made to any damaged infrastructure. He emphasized the importance of maintaining roads under the flyover to prevent further traffic issues and suggested that innovative technologies be employed for timely repairs. Failure to complete these repairs on schedule could result in accountability measures against the responsible companies.
Furthermore, Pawar has instructed that work on the ramps at Baner and Pashan should also proceed without interruption. He plans to conduct a personal inspection of the metro project on September 26 to ensure that progress aligns with his directives. This proactive approach reflects Pawar's commitment to improving urban mobility in Pune.
