Pune News: PMRDA’s Rs.3,838 Crore Budget Approved
The Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) has received approval for a substantial budget of ₹3,838. 61 crores, aimed at bolstering infrastructure and development in the Pune region. This decision was announced during a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, who underscored the importance of integrating urban advancements with the preservation of Pune's cultural heritage. In addition to accelerating the allocation of affordable housing, the budget will facilitate the establishment of a disaster response team and the construction of ten new fire stations. CM Shinde also emphasized the importance of creating open spaces within new developments, advocating for the involvement of experts in city planning.
The budget will support sewage system enhancements across eleven locations, addressing critical urban infrastructure needs. A notable aspect of this initiative is the planned construction of parks and recreational areas to improve residents' quality of life.
