Rittenhouse Grill cabaret series brings star-studded performances to the stage

Philadelphia, PALocal News

Rittenhouse Grill in Philadelphia is set to launch its second year of a successful cabaret series that blends fine dining with Broadway-style entertainment. The series will kick off on September 23, 2024, featuring Storm Large, followed by performances from the Tony-nominated Callaway Sisters on October 14, and culminating in a holiday show on December 17. Owner Garth Weldon expressed excitement about the lineup, emphasizing the strong local interest in cabaret performances. The initiative was born from a conversation with Randy Swartz, a former dance producer, who suggested leveraging the restaurant's closed Mondays to attract top talent from New York. Previous shows have seen sold-out crowds, confirming that Philadelphia audiences are eager for live entertainment.

Weldon aims to expand the series to a monthly schedule, aiming for greater consistency in performances. The intimate setting of Rittenhouse Grill, likened to New York's Café Carlyle, enhances the experience for diners and performers alike. With tickets already on sale and strong demand, the cabaret series promises to be a highlight for Philadelphia's cultural scene.
