The Rittenhouse Grill is set to kick off its second cabaret series on September 23, featuring the celebrated performer Storm Large. This initiative aims to merge fine dining with live entertainment, showcasing Broadway-style acts right in Philadelphia. Following Storm Large's performance, the series will also include the Callaway Sisters, known for their Emmy, Grammy, and Tony accolades, and will conclude with a holiday show featuring artists from New York’s Birdland Jazz Club. Owner Garth Weldon reflects on the success of the inaugural series, where performances by stars like Tony Yazbeck and Andrea McCardle sold out. The collaboration with producer Randy Swartz has proven fruitful, as he was able to attract top-tier talent to perform during what was previously a closed night for the restaurant.

Weldon envisions expanding the series to a monthly schedule, citing strong audience interest and the unique setting of Rittenhouse Grill. The venue's intimate space is likened to the Café Carlyle in New York, making it an appealing destination for cabaret lovers. Overall, the cabaret series represents a burgeoning demand for live entertainment in Philadelphia, enhancing the city’s cultural landscape.
