Students Invited to Create Santa Theme Ornament
The First Lady of West Virginia, Cathy Justice, has officially invited students from kindergarten through 12th grade to participate in the 20th annual First Lady Student Ornament Competition, a creative initiative designed to engage young artists. Students, whether in public, private, or home-school settings, are encouraged to design and create a Santa-themed ornament for the competition. The ornaments will be displayed on a tree at the Culture Center in Charleston during the holiday season, promoting a festive atmosphere. This competition provides a wonderful opportunity for students to showcase their artistic flair and gain recognition within their community. Moreover, the event aims to enhance community spirit, encouraging families and schools to participate actively.
By fostering creativity among the youth, the competition reflects the state's commitment to nurturing the next generation of artists. Participating students will not only have their work publicly displayed but also experience the joy of contributing to a cherished holiday tradition in West Virginia. This initiative highlights the importance of community involvement and the joy of creating art during the festive season.
