Ornaments Sought for 2024 Artistree
The Pendleton Times highlights an open call for artisans in West Virginia to participate in the 2024 Artistree project. First Lady Cathy Justice, in partnership with the West Virginia Department of Arts, Culture and History, invites residents to submit hand-crafted wreath-themed ornaments for display on a Christmas tree at the West Virginia Culture Center. This holiday season marks the 13th year of the Artistree event, which aims to showcase the talent and creativity of the local community. Artists of all ages and disciplines are encouraged to get involved, promoting a vibrant cultural exchange during the festive period. The initiative not only provides a platform for local artists but also encourages community participation, fostering pride in West Virginia's rich artistic heritage.
Submissions are welcomed from individuals, showcasing the diverse creativity that exists within the region. This event serves as a celebration of the holiday spirit while emphasizing the importance of arts and culture in community building. Residents are urged to participate and contribute their unique creations, making this year's Artistree a memorable occasion.
