Onalaska rallies back in South Bend
In a thrilling comeback, the Onalaska girls' basketball team overcame a 16-point halftime deficit to defeat Raymond-South Bend 56-48 on Monday evening. After a challenging first half where they allowed 37 points, Onalaska's defense transformed, permitting only 11 points in the second half while their offense surged to score 35. Coach Alana Olson highlighted the team's exceptional effort and adaptability, praising their defensive strategy and ball movement in the latter part of the game. Emalie Jacoby shone brightly with 24 points, four steals, and four rebounds, leading her team to victory. Delaney Marshall contributed significantly with 13 points and six rebounds, while Kaiyah Sandridge recorded a double-double, finishing with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Renzy Marshall also played a vital role, adding four points and grabbing eight rebounds. This win improves Onalaska's record to 10-1, showcasing their resilience and teamwork. The Loggers are now preparing for their first league game on Wednesday against Rainier, as they aim to build on this momentum.
