Seasonal Pump Track Open at Isthmus Park in Olympia

Olympia, WALocal News

A new seasonal pump track has opened at Isthmus Park in Olympia, providing a unique recreational facility for mountain biking, BMX, scootering, and skateboarding. This continuous loop of bumps and banked turns allows riders to gain momentum through 'pumping' instead of pedaling, making it accessible for all ages and skill levels. The pump track is now available for public use, with an official Grand Opening event scheduled for March 21 at 4:00 p. m. Attendees can enjoy live entertainment, food, and giveaways sponsored by local businesses, including Joyride Bikes and Intercity Transit’s Walk N Roll program.

A highlight will be a poetry reading by Olympia’s Poet Laureate, Sady Sparks, along with live music from the Artesian Rumble Arkestra. The City encourages visitors to learn more about pump tracks through educational videos from Kids in Parks. This initiative enhances the local recreational landscape and promotes community involvement and active lifestyles.
