Man assaulted and left unconscious outside area store, Lacey police say

A disturbing assault occurred outside a Dollar Tree in Lacey, Washington, where a man was left unconscious after being violently attacked. Reports indicate that the victim was urinating when the 39-year-old suspect confronted him, kicking him in the abdomen and then stomping on his head. This brutal assault resulted in the victim suffering three broken ribs and a brain bleed, necessitating hospitalization. Police were called around 3 p. m.

to find the victim unresponsive, leading to the suspect's arrest near Interstate 5. During his arrest, the suspect exhibited combative behavior, head-butting an officer, resulting in additional charges for assaulting law enforcement. He also reportedly assaulted jail staff while in custody. The suspect now faces serious charges, including first-degree assault and multiple counts of assault against law enforcement, raising ongoing concerns about public safety in the area.
