47th annual Toy Run expected to bring large crowd to Olympia | The Olympian

On December 7, 2024, the 47th annual Toy Run is anticipated to attract around 1,500 motorcyclists to downtown Olympia, significantly affecting local traffic. Deschutes Parkway will be closed to regular traffic from 5 a. m. to 4 p. m.

to accommodate the event. This annual gathering encourages motorcyclists to donate toys or money to The Salvation Army, which organizes distributions for children in need through the Toy n’ Joy Shop. Riders can arrive starting at 10 a. m. at the Target/Applebee's parking lot at South Sound Center, with the procession set to begin at 1 p.

m. Participants will ride through Olympia, concluding at the Capitol Campus. Attendees should prepare for congested roads and increased foot traffic, especially around Marathon Park from 1 p. m. to 3 p.
