Art Beautification Board Vacancy 6.27.22
The City of Mill Creek is currently seeking volunteers to fill two vacancies on its Art & Beautification Board, which has been impacted by recent resignations. The terms for these positions will expire on October 31, 2024, and the board convenes virtually on the second Wednesday of each month from 4:00 p. m. to 5:00 p. m.
This board serves an essential advisory role to the City Council, focusing on landscaping design, public aesthetics, and the management of the Municipal Art Fund. Additionally, the board is involved in selecting artwork for city properties and influencing the integration of art in municipal construction projects. Interested residents can obtain an application by emailing the Communications Department, with the deadline for submissions set for 5:00 p. m. on July 10, 2022.
This initiative not only aims to beautify the city but also encourages local community involvement in significant projects. By participating, volunteers can help shape the visual landscape and cultural identity of Mill Creek. The call for volunteers is part of a broader effort to engage citizens in enhancing the city’s public spaces.
