The Mill Creek Kiwanis Club is partnering with Peoples Bank and the City of Mill Creek to host a secure document shredding event on Saturday, October 23, from 11 a. m. to 2 p. m. at City Hall North.

This community initiative provides residents with a safe way to dispose of sensitive documents, helping to prevent information breaches. The first box of materials to shred will be free, while additional boxes can be processed for a suggested donation of $5, which will support local Kiwanis projects. The event will feature Shred-it, a trusted document destruction company known for its secure services. Sue White, the president of the Mill Creek Kiwanis Club, noted that this event offers a unique opportunity for residents to support local civic efforts while ensuring their documents are disposed of safely. This shredding event is part of Kiwanis One Day, an international initiative that promotes community service.
