Memorial Day events in Mill Creek on May 31, 2021, will serve as a heartfelt tribute to U. S. military veterans. The day will commence with a pre-recorded commemorative ceremony airing at 9 a. m.

on the City’s website and Facebook page, filmed at the Mill Creek Veterans Monument. Following this, a reverse drive-by parade will allow community members to view military memorabilia safely from their vehicles, with displays set up on Main Street from 10:30 a. m. to 12:30 p. m.

The event will showcase a battlefield cross, military uniforms, and a wreath, honoring the sacrifices made by service members. Community engagement is further enhanced by Memorial boards displayed in local businesses, sharing the stories of local veterans. Artwork created by elementary school students will also be presented, highlighting the community's involvement in honoring its heroes. This initiative not only respects COVID-19 safety measures but also reinforces the community's connection to its military history.
