In a devastating incident, a medical transport plane crashed in Northeast Philadelphia, resulting in the deaths of seven individuals, including 37-year-old Steven Dreuitt, who was killed while inside a vehicle near the crash site. The crash of Medical Jet Flight 56 occurred on January 31, 2025, at approximately 6:07 PM, impacting several vehicles on Cottman Avenue. First responders quickly located Dreuitt's body, while the six other victims onboard were identified as Mexican citizens, including the pilot and a patient being transported for medical care. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has since initiated an investigation and successfully recovered crucial pieces of evidence, such as the cockpit voice recorder and the enhanced ground proximity warning system.
