Federal student aid arrives in time for fall classes at Madras prison

Central Oregon Community College (COCC) has become the first institution in Oregon to receive approval for its Prison Education Program (PEP) at Deer Ridge Correctional Institution in Madras. This initiative allows incarcerated individuals to access federal Pell Grants, enhancing educational opportunities within the prison system.
