Roberta “Berta” McKee, an esteemed Edmonds resident, died at the age of 94 on December 27, 2024. Born on November 5, 1930, in Mount Vernon, WA, she was a dedicated school teacher and church organist, leaving a lasting legacy in her community. Her closest companion was her sister Marjorie “Marjie” Cadwallader, with whom she shared a rich upbringing on a dairy farm in Avon. Roberta was an alumna of Seattle Pacific College and the University of Washington, furthering her commitment to education. A memorial service will be held on March 9, 2025, at the Little White Church in Edmonds, with a burial following on March 10 in Burlington.
