Uniqlo, a globally recognized Tokyo-based apparel retailer, will open a new store at Alderwood Mall in Lynnwood, Washington, on May 17, 2024. This location will provide residents with access to affordable clothing for men, women, and children, significantly simplifying shopping for local customers who currently travel to Bellevue. Ayako Brown, an Everett resident and longtime Uniqlo fan, highlighted the convenience this new store will bring to her shopping routine. The Lynnwood outlet represents Uniqlo's fifth Washington location, following the opening of a new store at Tacoma Mall on May 10. With around 2,400 stores worldwide, Uniqlo has ambitious plans to open 20 new locations in North America this year, aiming to reach 200 stores by 2027.

Known for stylish and simple designs, along with its popular HeatTech line for warmth in cold weather, Uniqlo's expansion reflects its strategy to enhance its presence in the competitive North American market. Daisuke Tsukagoshi, the CEO of Uniqlo North America, expressed enthusiasm about serving more customers across the region.
