Community Transit is set to launch the Orange Line Swift rapid-transit bus line on March 23, 2024, connecting Edmonds College to Mill Creek and providing vital access to the new Lynnwood light rail station. To celebrate, a block party will feature live music, food trucks, and family-friendly activities. As the third addition to the Swift rapid-transit network, the Orange Line spans 11 miles and includes key stops at the Lynnwood Transit Center and Alderwood Mall. The project, costing $83 million and funded mainly by federal and state resources, highlights its significance for local infrastructure. Buses will operate frequently, with intervals of 10 to 20 minutes during peak and off-peak hours, improving connectivity for commuters and facilitating access to essential services and job opportunities.

Community Transit also plans to extend the existing Blue and Green lines to further enhance public transit options.
