Pedestrian identified in fatal Evergreen Way crash

A tragic pedestrian accident took place in Everett on the night of November 14, 2024, when 34-year-old Rose Haube was struck and killed while crossing Evergreen Way. The incident occurred around 10 p. m. in the 11800 block. Emergency responders acted quickly, but Haube was pronounced dead at the scene due to blunt force injuries.

The driver remained at the site and cooperated with the investigation. Traffic was significantly affected, with the northbound lanes of Evergreen Way closed for over two hours. Witnesses described the scene as chaotic, expressing condolences for Haube's family. The police department has yet to release further details regarding the investigation's status. This incident raises ongoing concerns about pedestrian safety in Everett.
