Seattle police arrested a man for armed carjacking in Downtown Seattle early on February 3, 2025, following a peculiar series of events. The man initially approached a bus driver, claiming he was having breathing problems, leading to multiple emergency calls in the past. Despite being transported to the hospital several times, he was always discharged without any medical findings. When police offered him assistance, he agreed to go to a warming shelter but became upset when refused access to a fire truck. Subsequently, he entered an uninvolved bystander's vehicle, seized a gun from the center console, and locked the doors.

Officers responded quickly, ordering the suspect to exit the vehicle, but he refused. Utilizing the car owner's keys, police unlocked the doors and arrested the man, with the gun remaining inside the vehicle.
