Starting in Fall 2023, the City of Lacey will utilize PaymentWorks, a cloud-based software solution, to manage vendor information more effectively. This partnership aims to streamline the registration process for new vendors, who will receive invitations to create accounts and upload essential documents like W-9 forms. Existing vendors will also benefit from the system as they will be prompted to update their information securely if changes occur. The PaymentWorks platform offers several advantages, such as the ability to view payment history and manage preferred payment methods. One of the notable features is the option for vendors to activate ACH/EFT payments, which will eliminate waiting times associated with mailed checks.
