Annual La Conner Kiwanis Toy Drive Underway
The La Conner Kiwanis toy drive is in full swing, aiming to spread holiday cheer among local children in need. Collaborating with the Edward Jones office, the Kiwanis has set up a Giving Tree where residents can pick up tags that detail specific needs of families in the community. This initiative invites community members to partake in the joy of giving by donating unwrapped toys to the Forgotten Children’s Fund, which serves families in La Conner and throughout Skagit County. The Edward Jones office, located at 708 E. Morris St.
, is open from 8:30 a. m. to 5 p. m. Monday through Thursday, making it convenient for residents to contribute.
Through this drive, the Kiwanis and Edward Jones aim to ensure that every child has a gift to open this holiday season, reinforcing the importance of community support. The collaborative effort showcases the spirit of generosity that defines La Conner, making it an essential part of the town's holiday traditions. Residents are encouraged to participate and help make a difference in the lives of local families. Contributions not only provide joy to children but also strengthen community bonds during this festive time of year.
