Kirkland Man Arrested in New Hampshire for Homicide of 7-Year-Old Girl

A 22-year-old man from Kirkland, Washington, was arrested in Bow, New Hampshire, in connection with the death of a 7-year-old girl under his care. The child was taken to EvergreenHealth Medical Center on April 11, 2023, where she was found to have no pulse and displayed signs of abuse. After being transferred to Harborview Medical Center, her acute traumatic brain injury was confirmed, leading to her death on April 17. The King County Medical Examiner's Office ruled her death a homicide three months later. The suspect, who had recently moved from the Seattle area, was apprehended at a hotel near Concord, assisted by the U.

S. Marshals and local police. He faces second-degree murder charges and is being held without bail. Following his arraignment in New Hampshire, he is expected to be extradited to Washington state to face further legal action. This incident highlights critical issues surrounding child protection and the justice system's response to such tragic events.
