In a distressing incident in Arlington, Washington, three French bulldogs were stolen along with their owners' cargo van at a Kirkland gas station on April 5. The breeders, Else and her husband, were momentarily distracted when the vehicle was taken, with surveillance footage showing a man casing the van before making off with it. Else Whitney expressed her concern for the dogs, particularly since two had recently undergone significant surgeries, leaving them vulnerable. The emotional turmoil lasted several days as the couple sought the safe return of their pets. Thankfully, the van was recovered shortly after the theft, and the dogs were located unharmed in White Center on April 11.
Whitney emphasized the care they provide for the dogs, hoping for the thief to develop a conscience and return them. This incident underscores the importance of vigilance and security for pet breeders. The reunion brought immense relief to the Whitney family, showcasing the deep emotional connections between breeders and their animals.
