The Issaquah Highlands Community Association (IHCA) has opened a public comment period until January 31 for residents to express their opinions on proposed updates to community regulations. These revisions to the Use Rules and Restrictions, Community Wide Standards, and Architectural Guidelines are intended to align with new city ordinances and adapt to evolving community trends. Notable changes include updated noise requirements for air conditioners, new recommendations for outdoor fire pits, and restrictions on holiday decorations in common areas. Additionally, the IHCA is introducing guidelines for bee-friendly landscaping and establishing specific construction hours. Residents are encouraged to provide feedback via email by the deadline, with a board meeting scheduled for February 24 to review the input.

The board’s thoughtful revisions seek to enhance community cohesion while addressing frequent architectural requests and compliance issues.
