** Local Artist Explores “Shades of Magic” in New Gallery at Blakely Hall

'Shades of Magic,' a captivating gallery by local artist Ann Elizabeth Scott, is on display at Blakely Hall throughout October. The exhibition features tarot-inspired artwork rich in symbolism, including suns, moons, and mythical creatures. Scott's magic realism approach intertwines fantasy with deeper themes of mythology and astrology. The gallery concept arose from friends' requests for a tarot-themed collection, which she crafted over the past year. Highlighted pieces like 'Snow Globe Unicorn' reflect her pandemic experiences, while 'Fox Magic' draws inspiration from her children.

Scott's goal is to inspire viewers to recognize the spiritual aspects of life, contrasting materialism. This exhibition invites visitors to explore and appreciate the multifaceted layers of her work, encouraging wonder and introspection.
