The study has received approval from the UW Human Subjects Division and will involve online questionnaires throughout the school year. In her December video update, Superintendent Heather Tow-Yick expressed gratitude towards community members and staff for their support following a recent windstorm and encouraged feedback on the School Modernization and Construction Bond passed on November 5. The Issaquah School District is facilitating engagement through a virtual ThoughtExchange, with two community listening sessions scheduled for December 9 to gather input on the bond. Additionally, the article highlights charitable campaigns such as the Sock It to Me drive for warm clothing donations for local children, running from December 9-13, and the Stuff-the-Bus Food Drive from December 10-19, aimed at supporting families affected by the recent bomb cyclone.

These initiatives reflect the community's dedication to providing for its vulnerable members during the winter months, emphasizing the collaborative efforts between the school district, local university, and community to enhance student experiences and support families.
