Issaquah High School is collaborating with the University of Washington’s interACTlab to study the effects of school-wide phone restrictions, aiming to understand their impact on students, parents, and staff. The study has received approval from the UW Human Subjects Division and will involve online questionnaires throughout the school year. In her December video update, Superintendent Heather Tow-Yick expressed gratitude towards community members and staff for their support following a recent windstorm and encouraged feedback on the School Modernization and Construction Bond passed on November 5. The Issaquah School District is facilitating engagement through a virtual ThoughtExchange, with two community listening sessions scheduled for December 9 to gather input on the bond.
