Dredging Projects to Enhance Fort Worth Parks and Golf Courses
The City of Fort Worth is set to undertake an extensive dredging project to enhance water quality and reduce flooding risks in local parks and golf courses, with a total investment of $1,594,036. 60 from the 2022 Bond Program. The dredging will take place at four significant sites: French Lake at Candleridge Park, the duck ponds at Foster Park, Fosdic Lake at Oakland Park, and the pond at Hole #7 of the Pecan Valley Golf Course. This initiative, managed by the Park & Recreation Department, aims to improve drainage systems and bolster the ecological environment of these water bodies. Currently, construction is underway at Pecan Valley Golf Course, while the other locations are scheduled for completion by 2025.
