Auburn man charged with vehicular homicide in FW crash

Federal Way, WALocal News

Auburn resident Robinpreet Singh has been charged with vehicular homicide following a tragic crash on December 1 in Federal Way that resulted in the death of 35-year-old Ryan Golden. Witnesses reported seeing Singh driving his blue Mustang at speeds exceeding 120 mph before colliding with Golden's vehicle, leading to catastrophic injuries that resulted in Golden's death at the scene. Singh's blood alcohol content was recorded at 0. 132, well above the legal limit, after he had been drinking at a wedding prior to driving. While initially cooperative, Singh reportedly became argumentative during a field sobriety test.

The state requested a bail of $500,000 due to concerns about Singh's potential flight risk, given that his family resides in India. However, the court set bail at $25,000, and Singh remains in custody at the Maleng Regional Justice Center. If released, he would be subject to strict conditions, including electronic home detention and restrictions on alcohol consumption.
