Everett Stabbing Suspect Identified Did He Get Arrested Then Let Go?

Everett, WALocal News

The Everett Police Department has identified Andrew Freeman as the suspect in the recent stabbing of a sixth grader in North Everett, which took place days before the publication of this article. Freeman, who is 21 years old and has a documented history of parole violations, was arrested just 50 minutes after the stabbing but was released the following day, leading to significant public concern. Jail records reveal that Freeman was booked for possessing a controlled substance and failing to appear in court, yet he was not connected to the stabbing at the time of his release. During a court hearing, it was revealed that Freeman had just been released from custody on a separate matter. The Everett Police are actively seeking the public's help in locating Freeman, emphasizing the importance of not approaching him directly if spotted.

They encourage citizens to check their security cameras for any footage that may assist in the investigation. This incident underscores the ongoing issues related to crime and public safety in the region. Authorities are urging anyone with relevant information to contact the Everett Police Department or Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound.
