With a total of $2,600 available, local not-for-profit groups and individuals can apply for grants of up to $500 to support various projects, including performances, art exhibits, and discussion groups. This initiative seeks to harness community enthusiasm and creativity, offering a platform for local voices and talents. Eligibility criteria stipulate that projects must either occur within the city limits or directly engage Edmonds residents, ensuring that the funding has a meaningful local impact. Applications must be submitted by April 21, 2021, with funding recommendations expected at the May Commission meetings.

Award recipients will be notified shortly after May 10, enabling them to plan their projects by year-end. The funding aims to extend the reach of the Diversity Commission's mission through community-driven efforts.
