Edmonds, WALocal News

The City of Edmonds, WA, is set to host a public meeting on December 16, 2021, from 6 PM to 7 PM to outline the proposed Elm Way Walkway Improvements. This project focuses on enhancing pedestrian safety by introducing a new 5-foot-wide sidewalk, curb, and gutter along the south side of Elm Way, stretching from 8th Ave to 9th Ave/100th Ave. Additional changes will involve the removal of the eastbound right-turn lane at the intersection of 9th Ave/100th Ave, which aims to improve traffic flow and safety. The project will also feature stormwater improvements and upgraded pedestrian crossings at 8th Ave, 100th Ave, and Coronado Pl. City staff will present project details and be available to answer questions from the community during the online meeting.

Participants can join via Zoom, with access information readily provided for convenience. Residents who require assistance or wish to receive project information in another language can reach out to Greg Malowicki for support. Community engagement is crucial, and the City encourages feedback to ensure the project meets local needs.
