Highway 99 Construction Virtual Kick-Off Meeting - City of Edmonds, WA
The City of Edmonds is set to host a virtual kick-off meeting for the Highway 99 Gateway-Revitalization Stage 2 Project on June 16, 2022, from 6 PM to 7 PM via Zoom. This project aims to implement crucial safety enhancements and gateway signage along Highway 99, particularly between 244th Street SW and 210th Street SW. Among the planned improvements are the conversion of the existing two-way left turn lane into a raised median and the introduction of landscaped areas to enhance the corridor's aesthetics and safety. Additionally, a High-Intensity Activated Crosswalk (HAWK) signal will be installed just north of 234th Street SW to facilitate safer pedestrian crossings. The virtual meeting will allow community members to pose questions and gather detailed information about the project's objectives and timeline.
Language accommodations are available upon request for attendees needing assistance. Residents are encouraged to sign up for email updates to stay informed throughout the construction phase. This initiative is part of a broader effort to revitalize the Highway 99 corridor, enhancing both safety and community identity.
