Open House - 76th220th Intersection Improvements

Edmonds, WALocal News

The City of Edmonds is set to host an open house on December 1, 2022, to engage the community about the 76th Ave W and 220th St SW Intersection Improvement Project, which is currently at the 30% design level. Scheduled from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Edmonds Public Works Building, the event will allow attendees to learn more about the project objectives and provide their input. The primary goals of the project are to improve traffic flow and ensure safety for all users, including pedestrians and cyclists. Planned enhancements include the addition of left turn lanes in both directions along 220th St SW, as well as wider sidewalks and a new traffic signal system. Lighting upgrades and ADA curb ramp improvements are also part of the initiative, aiming to create a more accessible environment.

Utility enhancements will involve stormwater and water line upgrades, with the potential to convert existing overhead utility lines to underground. Community involvement is encouraged to ensure that the project meets the needs of local residents. For further inquiries, Bertrand Hauss is available via phone or email, and language assistance services can be requested at no cost.
