The primary goals of the project are to improve traffic flow and ensure safety for all users, including pedestrians and cyclists. Planned enhancements include the addition of left turn lanes in both directions along 220th St SW, as well as wider sidewalks and a new traffic signal system. Lighting upgrades and ADA curb ramp improvements are also part of the initiative, aiming to create a more accessible environment.

Utility enhancements will involve stormwater and water line upgrades, with the potential to convert existing overhead utility lines to underground.
