Des Moines, IALocal News

Starting October 1, 2023, the Des Moines Park and Recreation Department will implement a removal of all decorations from gravesites in municipal cemeteries. This periodic maintenance aims to ensure the cemeteries remain orderly and respectful for all visitors. For additional questions or concerns, families can reach out to the Des Moines Municipal Cemetery Customer Service office at 515-248-6320.
