Antioch High School will reopen on January 28, 2025, after a tragic shooting incident that resulted in the deaths of two students, including the gunman. The Metro Nashville Public Schools (MNPS) closed the school for three days to ensure the safety and well-being of students in the wake of the tragedy. A new AI-driven security system, Evolv, will be implemented to enhance safety measures on campus, replacing a previously failed detection system. MNPS Director Adrienne Battle emphasized the importance of this pilot program in shaping future safety protocols across the district.
