Chelan County District Court and Probation offer limited time debt relief program

Chelan, WALocal News

Chelan County District Court and its Probation Office are collaborating with Armada Collections to introduce a limited-time debt relief program for individuals struggling with unpaid fines and probation fees. This initiative, which runs from April 14 to June 14, 2025, is designed to help residents settle their debts at significantly reduced costs. Judges Allen Blackmon and Jonathan Volyn highlighted the program's importance, stating it aims to provide an opportunity for individuals to pay off court-related debts, including fines, fees, and victim restitution. The last such program, offered four years ago, saw considerable success in assisting those with outstanding balances. Many debts related to serious offenses cannot be discharged through bankruptcy, which makes this program particularly valuable for affected individuals.

This two-month window offers a crucial chance for those whose accounts have gone into collections to regain financial stability. Interested parties are encouraged to reach out to Armada Collections or the Chelan County District Court and Probation Office for eligibility inquiries. This relief effort underscores the court's commitment to supporting community members in overcoming financial challenges.
