Schools districts waiting for guidance on cell phone usage

If passed, Assembly Bill 3216, also referred to as The Phones-Free Act, would require schools to come up with a plan to limit or completely prohibit cell phone use in public schools by July 2026. California would be the sixth state to enact some sort of limitations on cell phone usage for students.
