Donate blood, save lives...and win a trip to Hawaii with Bloodworks Northwest - The B-Town (Burien) Blog

Burien, WALocal News

Bloodworks Northwest is excited to announce the launch of its “1000 Thank Yous” campaign in early 2025, aimed at recognizing the invaluable contributions of blood donors across the Pacific Northwest. As the primary blood supplier to hospitals in Washington and Oregon, Bloodworks Northwest relies on around 1,000 daily donors to maintain an adequate blood supply for patients in need. The campaign offers an enticing opportunity for donors to win trips to Hawaii, with generous sponsorship from Delta Airlines and Hyatt. Each month, donors will have the chance to win a different trip, complete with luxurious accommodations and unique experiences on the islands. To further engage the community, the campaign will feature heartfelt stories from both donors and blood recipients, providing insight into the life-saving impact of blood donations.

Chris Cashman, a ten-time Emmy-winning host, will produce a series of compelling narratives across donation centers in the region. This initiative not only expresses gratitude to the selfless individuals who donate blood but also aims to highlight the continuous need for blood in local healthcare facilities. By participating in “1000 Thank Yous,” community members can play a vital role in saving lives and making a positive difference.
