Man Slashed in Throat After Argument in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn

A violent incident unfolded in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn, where a 53-year-old man was slashed in the throat following an argument inside an NYC Human Resources Administration building on September 9, 2024. The attack occurred just before 11 a. m. , with the victim being approached from behind by the assailant. After sustaining injuries, the victim sought refuge at Chelsea Piers Fitness, where employees promptly called 911 for assistance.

He was subsequently transported to NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where he is expected to survive his injuries. The suspect remains at large and was last seen fleeing the scene wearing a dark shirt, white shorts, and sneakers towards Bond Street. There have been no arrests made as of now, and the investigation is ongoing. A spokesperson from Chelsea Piers Fitness clarified that the incident did not involve their staff or club members, emphasizing their immediate response to assist the injured individual. The community is left on edge as local law enforcement works to resolve the case.
