New QR Code for Council Agendas and Packets
Effective June 1, 2024, the City of Bonney Lake will introduce a QR code system for accessing Council Agendas and Packets, replacing traditional printed materials. This initiative aims to cut printing costs and promote environmental sustainability by allowing residents to scan QR codes with their smartphones for immediate access to up-to-date information on city council meetings. By simplifying access to council materials, the city hopes to enhance community involvement and transparency in local governance. QR codes will be displayed prominently at meetings, ensuring attendees can easily stay informed about agenda items and discussions. This modernization effort demonstrates the city's commitment to improving civic engagement and reducing its carbon footprint.
