City of Bend Hosts Series of Community Open Houses to Guide Council Goal Setting
The City of Bend is organizing a series of open houses to facilitate community input on the City Council's goal-setting and budgeting for the 2025-2027 biennium. Starting January 23, 2025, residents are encouraged to share their thoughts on pressing issues that matter to them. The open houses will take place at the Larkspur Community Center, Council on Aging, and Downtown Library, providing multiple opportunities for engagement. Each session will feature City Councilors who will listen to community feedback and answer any questions attendees may have. Spanish interpretation will be available at all events, ensuring accessibility for Spanish-speaking residents.
For those who cannot attend in person, an online open house option will be available, making it easier for all community members to participate. This engagement process is vital as it informs the Council's work plan and budget, which will be finalized by July 2025. The initiative reflects the city's commitment to inclusive governance and community involvement.
