A groundbreaking AI-powered cancer screening technology has been launched in Seattle, marking the first availability of such a service in Washington state. Developed by the startup Ezra, this technology allows individuals to undergo full-body MRI scans in half the time and at approximately half the cost compared to traditional methods. The American Cancer Society reports alarming statistics, with 1-in-2 men and 1-in-3 women likely to be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, underscoring the importance of early detection. Ezra's founder and CEO, Emi Gal, stated that the company is currently the only one offering this innovative screening method. The technology was launched in partnership with Rayus Radiology, with clinics now operating in Bellevue and Issaquah.

Gal noted that Seattle was one of the most requested cities for this service, indicating significant local interest. This advancement not only aims to improve cancer detection rates but also seeks to make the process more accessible to the public. Overall, this development is a significant step forward in the fight against cancer, leveraging artificial intelligence to enhance healthcare outcomes.
