The City of Bellevue is actively recruiting members for the Bellevue Diversity Advisory Network (BDAN), which aims to strengthen the city’s engagement with its diverse populations. Applications are due by November 10, 2024, and can be submitted online, via email, or through traditional mail in multiple languages. BDAN serves as a critical advisory group, providing feedback to city departments to enhance equity and inclusion in community services. City Manager Diane Carlson affirmed the vital role of BDAN in informing city programs and policies through community insights. Applicants are required to have a connection to Bellevue, a willingness to bridge cultural gaps, and a commitment to volunteer a minimum of six hours each month.

Two virtual information sessions will be held on October 30 and November 4 to provide further details about the application process. Bellevue’s Diversity Advantage Initiative, established in 2014, underscores the city’s vision of embracing diversity as a strength. This initiative reflects Bellevue's commitment to fostering an inclusive environment that benefits the entire community.
