An 83-year-old woman was violently robbed of her $200 in lottery winnings moments after leaving Buddy's Food and Lotto in Orange County, Florida. Surveillance footage revealed the suspect, Diego Stalin Tavarez Fleury, attacking the woman in the parking lot shortly after 8 a. m. on January 15. The Orange County Sheriff's Office indicated that the swift arrest of Fleury was made possible through community support.

He has been charged with robbery, sudden snatching, and battery on an individual aged 65 or older. Witnesses reported that the victim is a regular customer and well-liked in the community, raising concerns about the safety of elderly individuals. An employee at the convenience store noted that Fleury had been a known presence in the area, raising alarms about his behavior.
