Bellevue is launching a comprehensive update to its Affordable Housing Strategy, aiming to produce or preserve 5,700 affordable housing units over the next ten years. This ambitious target marks a 128% increase from the previous plan and is designed to cater to households across various income levels, including those earning up to 80% of the area's median income. Mayor Lynne Robinson highlighted the city's commitment to enhancing housing accessibility as vital for fostering a vibrant and inclusive community. Since the original strategy was adopted in 2017, Bellevue has made significant strides, with 2,270 units already produced or preserved and another 709 units approved for development.
